The 460cc club head is packed with performance and will be played by PGA Tour stars and give adjustability and speed. With Flight Control technology (FCT), the golfer can easily adjust the performance angles (face angle, loft and lie) of the driver allowing a range of launch conditions that promote up to 60 yards of side-to-side trajectory adjustment. The driver’s high-MOI titanium head also features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone technology milled directly into the back of a clubface. This technology dramatically enlarges the portion of the face that delivers high COR and fast golf ball speed, significantly improving performance on mis-hits giving that optimum combination of clubhead speed and control for golfers of all handicaps since the adjustability present makes it usable for all.
Matrix XCON 5 is a high quality medium weight graphite shaft with a mid tip profile to promote a high launch trajectory with a smooth swing tempo.
Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows tuning of the launch angle by increasing or decreasing the loft by 1.5° higher or lower with eight FCT positions for accurate incremental adjustment. Advanced clubhead aerodynamics allows air to flow more quickly and smoothly over the crown to drastically reduce drag and increase head speed. Inverted Cone clubface technology also promotes faster golf ball speed and distance on off-centre hits. The contrast between the white crown and black clubface makes it easy to align the driver accurately at address and the matte white finish eliminates hot spots and glare to promote improved focus. At the same time, the white head looks larger to promote more confidence and a fast, free swing speed.
